Joely
vs
Freshdesk

The Freshdesk alternative built for FiveM and Tebex

Cfx.re sign-in, Tebex purchase context on every ticket, Discord DM notifications, and indie pricing. Not generic email-based ticketing.

Quick take

Freshdesk is cheaper than Zendesk but it's still a generic email-first helpdesk. No Tebex sync, no Cfx.re sign-in, no Discord DM. Joely is purpose-built for FiveM creators selling on Tebex - every default is shaped around that workflow.

Why Joely is the better alternative

The three reasons that drive the rest of the comparison.

Native to FiveM and RedM

Cfx.re OAuth is the customer's existing identity. No new account, no email verification, no learning curve.

Tebex first-party

Purchase verification, coupons, gift cards live inside the ticket. Freshdesk's marketplace has no Tebex app worth wiring up.

Discord-native, not email-first

DM notifications, embed CTAs, Cfx.re-to-Discord identity linking. Freshdesk treats email as the channel of record.

Built for FiveM creators, not email-first support teams

Freshdesk targets small-to-mid support teams that handle email-driven customer support. It's cheaper than Zendesk and has a decent free plan (10 agents free), which is why it shows up in helpdesk comparisons. But the model is email-centric.

Freshdesk has no concept of Cfx.re identities, no native Tebex integration, no Discord-first channel, no FiveM defaults. Every customer creates a Freshdesk account, verifies their email, then learns a new system. For a community where Discord and Cfx.re are the identity layer, that's friction you don't need.

Joely is the opposite: every default tunes to the FiveM and Tebex workflow. Customers sign in with Cfx.re in one click. Tickets pre-link to their Tebex purchases. Notifications flow through Discord DMs.

Tebex integration that ships out of the box

Freshdesk's marketplace has plenty of integrations, but no first-party Tebex app. To get purchase context into a Freshdesk ticket, you build it yourself: custom webhook from Tebex, custom Freshdesk app, custom sidebar widget. Then you maintain it.

Joely connects to your Tebex store with one form. Every ticket carries the customer's full purchase history: transaction IDs, products, dates, statuses. Issue coupons and gift cards directly from the ticket on Plus and above. Link Tebex packages to GitHub repos so creating an issue from a ticket attaches the right repository automatically.

AI tuned to your products, not generic

Freshdesk's Freddy AI add-on is a generic CX assistant. It optimizes for intent classification, suggested responses, and macro automation across any industry.

Joely's AI trains on your specific documentation, scoped per Tebex package. The AI knows what "ESX Jobs", "QBCore Garage", or "vRP" mean in your context because you fed it your own docs, server.cfg snippets, and resource READMEs. Approval mode keeps you in control of every reply. Autonomous mode lets it handle installation questions overnight. Vacation mode lets it respond 24/7 when you're off-schedule.

A portal that looks like part of your brand

Freshdesk includes a customer portal with theme customization on paid tiers. It works, but configuring it for the FiveM aesthetic (and migrating customers from Cfx.re identity to a Freshdesk account) is a multi-day setup project.

Joely gives every project a branded portal at {your-slug}.joely.io (or your own domain on Enterprise). Customers sign in with Cfx.re - no new account, no email verification. The portal shows their ticket list, Tebex order history, and the package they need help with. Branding (primary color, neutral color, logo) is configured from the dashboard in two minutes, not via theme files.

Roles, automations, and pricing model

Freshdesk's pricing is per-agent. The Free plan covers 10 agents but caps many features behind paid tiers. Growth is $15/agent/month. Pro is $49/agent/month. A 3-person FiveM crew on Growth pays $540/year minimum, scaling linearly as you add staff.

Joely's paid pricing is per-tier, not per-agent. Team at 22€/mo flat covers unlimited members, 5 stores, 2,000 AI responses per month, and auto-assign rules by Tebex package. A 3-person crew on Joely Team is 264€/year flat. A 10-person crew is the same 264€/year. Adding staff doesn't compound the bill.

Custom roles use a 39-permission drag-and-drop system. Recent improvements ship every couple of weeks - check the updates feed.

Who should pick what

Pick Joely if

  • You sell paid scripts, packs, or resources on Tebex (FiveM or RedM)
  • You have 1 to 5 people on the support side
  • Your customers find you on Discord, not via email forms
  • You want trainable AI on ESX, QBCore, vRP installation questions

Pick Freshdesk if

Visit
  • You run a non-gaming SaaS with email-first customers
  • You have an existing Freshdesk-trained team and admin
  • You need Freshdesk's omnichannel features (voice, chat, social) at scale
  • Your support volume justifies per-agent pricing

Switching from Freshdesk

Joely doesn't ship a one-click Freshdesk importer, and for most FiveM creators that's fine - your existing Freshdesk archive can stay read-only while new tickets move to Joely. The day you switch:

  • Export your current Freshdesk tickets as CSV (Freshdesk Settings → Account → Export). Keep the archive for compliance.
  • Sign up to Joely and connect your Tebex store
  • Install the Joely Discord bot and share your portal URL ({your-slug}.joely.io)
  • Update any "submit a ticket" link in your Tebex product descriptions and Discord welcome message

If you have a complex migration need (high ticket volume, custom Freshdesk apps), get in touch and we'll help you scope it.

Joely is not for

  • FiveM RP server operators selling VIP slots or in-game items directly to players (Joely is built for script creators selling to other devs)
  • Sellers outside Tebex (Gumroad, Stripe direct, custom checkout) - the Tebex integration is the moat
  • Email-driven support teams without a Discord community
