# Plans & limits

> What each subscription plan includes, how limits are enforced, whose plan applies, and what happens when you downgrade.

Joely has four plans: **Free**, **Plus**, **Team**, and **Enterprise**. For prices, see the [pricing page](https://joely.io/#pricing); this page documents how the plans behave inside the product.

## Whose plan counts?

For everything project-scoped, the **project owner's** plan applies, never the individual member's. A staff member on the Free plan working in a project owned by a Team subscriber uses every Team feature in that project. Only the limit on how many projects an account can own follows the member's own plan.

Tickets, messages, knowledge base facts, and customers are unlimited on every plan. Automation **workflows** are capped at 50 per project on every plan (a technical limit, not a commercial one); the [run quota](https://joely.io/documentation/automations/runs-and-quota.md#monthly-run-quota) is what varies by plan.

## What happens when you downgrade

Downgrading never deletes data. Instead, access adjusts:

- **Settings above your new plan** (theme colors, custom instructions, private mode, ...) stay stored but stop being applied until you upgrade again.
- **Team members over the new cap**: the most recently joined members beyond the limit lose project access; the oldest members and the owner keep working. See [Members & invitations](https://joely.io/documentation/team/members-invitations.md#what-happens-after-a-downgrade).
- **Tebex stores over the new cap** are locked (oldest connections stay active).
- **Discord servers over the new cap**: the most recently added servers beyond the limit are locked (the main server never is). See [Several Discord servers](https://joely.io/documentation/integrations/discord.md#several-discord-servers).
- **Discord bot identity**: Joely's bot sends your notifications again; your managed or own bot stays saved and comes back on upgrade. See [Bot identity](https://joely.io/documentation/integrations/discord.md#bot-identity).
- **AI quota** switches to the new plan's monthly allowance.
- **Automation runs** switch to the new plan's monthly allowance; if the project already used more runs than the new plan includes this period, workflows pause until the next reset.

## Billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe, monthly or annually, and can be upgraded, downgraded, cancelled, or resumed at any time from your billing settings. Invoices are available there as PDF downloads.
